Born and raised in Mooresville, Melissa Simmons is proud to serve the community she knows and loves. As a local resident, she brings a genuine understanding of the area, its neighborhoods, and what makes it such a special place to call home.

Before transitioning into real estate, Melissa spent 20 years as a dedicated high school science teacher. Throughout her career in education, she developed exceptional communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills—qualities that now allow her to guide clients confidently through every step of the real estate process. Her experience working with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds has shaped her ability to build strong, trust-based relationships and create a positive, supportive experience for everyone she serves.

Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science as well as a Master of Public Health in Nutrition (Dietetics), reflecting her strong foundation in discipline, education, and attention to detail. While she is new to real estate, her passion for helping others, combined with her strong work ethic and commitment to doing what’s right, makes her a dedicated advocate for her clients.

Driven by a desire for flexibility and the opportunity to build her own business, Melissa approaches real estate with integrity, care, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping others achieve their goals. She finds joy in seeing people succeed—whether that means finding the perfect home, starting a new chapter, or reaching a lifelong dream.

Outside of real estate, Melissa enjoys an active lifestyle. You can often find her playing on local tennis teams, running or hiking trails, or staying active at the gym. At home, she shares life with her daughter, who is currently in graduate school, and Arrakis—their energetic one-year-old cattle dog/German shepherd mix.
