Born and raised in Mooresville, Melissa Simmons is proud to serve the community she knows and loves. As a local resident, she brings a genuine understanding of the area, its neighborhoods, and what makes it such a special place to call home. Before transitioning into real estate, Melissa spent 20 years as a dedicated high school science teacher. Throughout her career in education, she developed exceptional communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills—qualities that now allow her to guide clients confidently through every step of the real estate process. Melissa holds a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science as well as a Master of Public Health in Nutrition (Dietetics). While she is new to real estate, her passion for helping others, combined with her strong work ethic and commitment to doing what’s right, makes her a dedicated advocate for her clients. Outside of real estate, Melissa enjoys an active lifestyle, playing on local tennis teams, running or hiking trails, or staying active at the gym. At home, she shares life with her daughter and Arrakis—their energetic one-year-old cattle dog/German shepherd mix.
