We are excited to welcome Thea Russell to the True North Realty team! Thea brings a people-first approach to real estate, grounded in years of leadership, mentorship, and service. She believes the most meaningful work happens when you walk alongside others during important chapters of their lives—and that philosophy shapes everything she does.

Before transitioning into real estate, Thea spent many years serving in ministry, where her work was anchored in unwavering support, thoughtful leadership, and a deep commitment to helping others grow. That experience made her move into real estate a natural fit, allowing her to continue serving people in a new environment while maintaining the same heart and purpose.

Originally based in Atlanta, Thea led and developed others for many years and remains deeply shaped by that season of her life. During that time, she also served on the Board of Directors for the Women’s Center in Forsyth County, Georgia, reflecting her long-standing commitment to advocacy, leadership, and community support.

Thea and her husband, Michael Russell, are enjoying life as empty nesters after raising their three children. After moving to Hickory two years ago, they quickly fell in love with the city and its surrounding communities. Thea is excited to serve the Hickory area with excellence, integrity, and a genuine heart for people.

A love of travel—rooted in her early years flying with Delta Airlines—has given Thea a deep appreciation for people, stories, and new places. When she’s not working with clients, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends.

For Thea, real estate is about far more than buying or selling a home. It’s about building trust, fostering meaningful relationships, and supporting others through some of life’s most important transitions.
